Nomkhubulwane in the KwaZulu Midlands

It was a great honour recently to be invited to bring the Nomkhubulwane puppet for ritual into the heart of the KwaZulu Midlands, to move even more deeply into the connections between iDollie, animism and traditional healing practices with Sangoma in the Thokoza traditions.  In this ceremonial performance we explored the integrating flow between iDollie, the land, a ritual of singing to the stones/awakening prehistoric standing stones through animist presence and bodies for the sake of communal healing and memory, co-creating ritual practices with living healers and ancestors.  Thokoza Makhosi, Ndawu She!
